Apple has rolled out new operating system for iPhone and iPad i.e., iOS 11. It has showcased the iOS 11 at WWDC event 2017. It then released the beta version for testing and the public release of the same is expected to happen by the end of July. iOS 11 Release Date
As per the reports, Apple would not put its iOS 11 public version before new iPhones got released in the market in September. Apple on June 5th rolled out the beta version of new OS i.e., iOS 11 on June 5th at the opening keynote at WWDC event. The final official version is expected to be out in September this year. We cannot call it the final version even as Apple is named for updating its versions time and again.
Features of iOS 11
There are many unique set of features that will get introduced to the users through iOS 11. Apple has already unveiled some of them during WWDC 2017. The key features of the new OS have been released at the WWDC 2017. Though mainly the features for iPad have been revealed at the event, there are many features coming up for iPhone as well.
iOS 11 Features and Specs
The new feature to be introduced with iOS 11 is Files app. As the name sums it up, it brings all your files together into a single space on your iPad. It will also become easy to access data on iPad from other iOS devices, iCloud Drive and third party services. Another feature is its multitasking feature. It is easy to open a second app from the Dock and have both apps working simultaneously without any issues in split view or slide over. Also, there is a new redesigned App Switcher feature in it. The new drag and drop feature will let you move images, text and other things between one app to another with simple tapping and dragging.
The instant markup feature, instant notes and inline drawing are also the features of new iOS 11. The keyboard has been changed too in the iPad by embedding letters, numbers, punctuation marks etc in the screen. The Live Photos with new effects like loops, bounce and long exposure are quite interesting. The portrait mode filters are a highlight. The messages get new updates and have a new App drawer that contains the new Apple pay feature for paying contacts via iMessage, stickers and lot more.
The public profiles have been introduced for Apple Music, using which users can find out what they have been listening to. AirPlay has been upgraded to AirPlay 2 with multi-room controls. A safety feature named Do Not Disturb While Driving has been introduced as well. The maps app has great upgrades as well that will guide to through lanes.
